Disclaimer: I was given a complimentary stay at Clayton Members Club & Hotel to review for my followers over on CurrentlyColorado. After an incredible stay, I asked to write a blog about the hotel and my stay as well. The opinions expressed in this article are entirely my own, honest and from the heart! I receive no commissions from the links in this article, they are for your benefit only.

I cannot even begin to explain how incredible Clayton Members Club & Hotel is, but I’m going to try. I’ve found my new home away from home, y’all. If you’re needing a staycation or looking for a new place to work, eat, play on a regular basis – they have it all.

When you check in you’ll make your way through their stellar entrance before you can wander up to the members & guests-only rooftop lounge & pool. The building is a striking black brick with gold accents, pretty hard to miss. You’ll walk through double doors after passing valet and find yourself greeted by the most incredible staff. My Mom and I were so excited to check in for a long weekend in historic Cherry Creek and the incredible design of the Clayton had us ooo-ing and awe-ing immediately. Every corner of the untraditional lobby has been intentionally styled to make you feel at home with a pool table on one side and multiple lounges throughout. Great, non-intimidating art adorn the walls and the incredibly friendly staff make you feel right at home.

Everything You Could Need Under One Roof

After checking in, we were given some super cute tokens to use at the Oak Market on the main floor during our stay. This is a perk of being a guest at the hotel and I definitely encourage you take advantage of what Oak has to offer! We couldn’t help ourselves but to have breakfast, lunch and maybe a few snacks from the coffee bar + bistro tucked in next to the main entrance. I am a sucker for sun butter, I think I had more of this toast than I should admit. If snacks aren’t your thing, they also have a great coffee bar where you can get affogato with fresh espresso. Best part, you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy Oak! They’re open every day in Cherry Creek to the public.

Whether you’re a local looking for a great spot to wine & dine or planning to visit Denver soon – this place is everything anyone could want and more. Perfectly curated rooms and a secret speakeasy make this the perfect spot for any Denverite or otherwise. When we checked into our room I think we were awestruck by the immaculate bathroom set up. Clayton does an incredible job of working with the somewhat small room with modular furniture that creates loads of seating and functionality. What it lacks in size it makes up for tenfold in style and comfort.

The Clayton Members Club & Hotel Takes Community to the Next Level

clayton-members-club-rooftop-loungeWhat’s even cooler about the Clayton is that everything above the first floor is members only, so you won’t be overwhelmed by diners chatting while you’re working and no long wait to get a drink at the rooftop bar. I personally had a fabulous time brunching with my Mom in the members-only lounge. This is something you can enjoy as well when you become a member. The lounge has great food, co-working spaces, a gorgeous sunroom and more. I could’ve stayed there all day alone. It’s really a perfect spot for anyone needing a great space to escape to in Denver.

A Meal Worth Writing About

Lastly, I couldn’t write this article without mentioning the incredible meal we had our first night at the Clayton. Of A Kind might possibly be the best hidden culinary gem in Denver, I only say hidden because it’s inside a hotel and for some that’s a deterrent. Despite this, the energy when we walked through the Mediterranean-style restaurant’s dining hall was lively, bustling. I could write an entire article about how amazing the food was. The hummus (yes, I mean it when I say you need to try the hummus) is hands down a no-brainer. I was a big fan of the smashed potatoes. All the meat and veggie dishes were equally as mind-blowing. Just like Oak, you don’t have to be a guest to enjoy Of A Kind. It is open to the public as well and an absolute must if you appreciate superb flavor combinations with deliciously harvested ingredients.
